The family that inspired Mario Puzo to write The Godfather and The Family is coming to Cable TV!

Showtime has a new series lined up to replace the hit series The Tudors.

The Borgias starring Jeremy Irons as Rodrigo Borgia, Colm Feore as Irons arch-rival Guilaino della Rovere who later became Pope Sixtus.  Francois Arnaud will also star as Irons on screen son Casere Borgia.   Michael Hirst creator and writer of The Tudors will also be writing most of The Borgias episodes.  The Borgias producer, Neil Jordan has long wished to create a series based on the Borgia Family.

Many had hoped for a continuation in the Tudor dynasty but are still happy to have any type of historical made for TV series. 

Also coming to STARZ is a new series Camelot due to air in 2011.

With the exception of Monday Night Football,  expect FOX and NBC to dominate Monday nights.

FOX with House and Lie to Me and NBC with  Heroes and Trauma.  Trauma looks to be a great show in the making.

CBS pulling in a close 2nd or 3rd with fan favorites like Two and a Half Men and How I Met Your Mother.

TUESDAYS  expect CBS to dominate with NCIS and the New NCIS LA and CW with Melrose Place and 90210 (which I believe will be a disapointment)

WEDNESDAY NIGHTS will be tough to predict with most networks having a great Wed. line up. BUT  I believe CBS and NBC will dominate with

Law and Order SVU and  CSI: NY along with Mercy (NBC) Old Christine and Gary Unmarried

THURSDAY NIGHTS Expect CW to dominate with a now popular vampire themed Vampire Diaries and  Supernatural.  CBS will be the major competition on THUSDAYS with

CSi and The Mentalist then ABC”s Grey’s Anatomy and FOX with Fringe

FRIDAY NIGHTS will be the toughest night all week for ratings wars with ABC  having a little edge with Ugly Betty,  Supernanny and CBS with Ghost Whisperer

Medium,  and Numbers.  NBC with Law and Order,  Southland and Jay Leno.  FOX with Brothers,  Till Death and Dollhouse..

SATURDAYS it is a toss up till spring

SUNDAYS expect ABC to be the dominant network with  Extreme Home Makeovers and  Desperate Housewives
